I have gotten into a fix with this one. If someone could give me some step by step instructions on basically how to set up an auto-responder would be a HUGE Help.

Hi Cyndi,
Are you trying to just put the email content into the responder or are you
trying to install the script to your web space?
Most autoresponder companies provide instructions as to which letter goes
where and when to send it. Also, some autoresponders will allow importing
the messages from another place.
What exactly are you having trouble with?
Cathy is pretty good with autoresponders so maybe she will be along to help
you out. Well, I say that because she has set up a few and knows more
about them than I do probably.
Peace, |

Its one on a site that I really am not promoting at all to be honest it is just there, so I thought I might as well try and use it. Learn all you can, you know. They have the letters set up for you and some wacked out instructions . Just trying to figure out exactly how to put the letters in and general set up of one. I did not realize there were different kinds. This could get fairly diff. then huh?
Maybe I should go back there and play with it for a bit. That's how I have learned alot of this marketing stuff. Just play with until its right. lol
Thanks for getting back to me on this so quick. Much appreciated. |

Hey Cyndi,
Ive used quite a few of them, which autoresponder, theres
different set up steps for each.
Basically don't get over head in just getting it operational first.
Usually in configuration you would set up your profile, header - footer
what others will see in each mail so you don't have to type it in
your ads each time. Always do a confirmation letter, usually
under configurations also - Asking them to opt in to your info,
don't just sent them an ad first that could get you in trouble.
(there are a few sites if your a member where other
members agree to receive one mail from you although
you need to add that disclaimer in your ad - still people
complain, lol) Autoresponders can be dangerous now days.
You set it all, basics, set up your letters, always look at the
options, some automatically put in an unsubscribe link, some
you have to add - I add to the footer under configuration so
its never forgotten to be placed in my mail.
Make your letters, load your leads or if that autorepsonder
doesn't allow uploading of leads, thats where you go to your
form code and copy the code once youve set up the autoresponder
and place the code on your blog or website. That way if someone
wants to subscribe from your site they will start receiving your emails.
After you do it a few times, most are similiar, some a little
complicated, just stick to the basics at first and don't let it
overwhelm you.
PM or Email Me with the name and I'll see If I can give you some
step by step if I use that one if you haven't figured it out yet.
Just remember, opt in first, unsubscribe link, if your not getting
results, change your ads often. Stick to basics then learn the other
stuff such as tracking, etc. |
