Sorry it took this long to get back on the forum. I had a ton going on.

Well there certainly is a lot to learn on this subject. Let’s start with something I’ve picked up from more than a couple reputable sites who are not trying to SELL me
something to advance my search engine placement.

The question is.. ‘Is it really possible to guarantee myself a high position on the search
engines?

From what I can gather from these reputable sources, the answer is NO. In fact some of
them even tell you NO! There are no “search engine secrets” that will guarantee a top listing. It seems this may be yet another thing that inexperienced marketers like me might waste good money on, because there are definitely still people out there that will sell you a “guaranteed” way to get it done for you.

So it might seem like something not worth the effort learning about. However, there are a number of small changes you can make that can sometimes produce some good results.

There is definitely a lot to learn about it. In fact, there are things I’m going to learn about just trying to learn about what I thought was a study on KEY WORDs and SEO.

Some of the techniques I need to learn if I’m to attempt to work on SEO are these:
meta tags, optimizing your title tags, page layout, page content, page name, links, image
alt tags, not using frames or if already using frames, the proper usage of the ‘no frames
area, etc. I think I’ve got a lot to look into. I’ll be back with more.
