Need critics for Traffic Exchange Advertising post

Hello everyone

Debra, Det and I had a conversation the other day on trying to
gear our posts from a Newbie point of view, it is hard for me to
do so because alot of things are just automatic for me now.

I changed the Traffic Exchange advertising post to try and make it
more newbie friendly, but since that is a closed section, I needed to
post it here also so I can get some imput from members as to how
easy it is to understand.

Do I need to explain something further, even if you are currently
using TE's but have not tried the firefox tabbed browsing system
yet, please see if you can follow my directions and come back here
and post as to how easy it was to set up, if someone would, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks
Here is the post:

Traffic Exchange Advertising;

The concept is very simple;

Join the traffic exchange
Add your site you want to promote
You view other websites in the exchange in return they must view yours.

Most of the TE's have a counter so you will have to view the website
from 20 to 30 seconds and then you must click on the icon or number
shown to view the next site.

We are going to show you how to maximize your surfing time using
Mozilla Firefox "tabbed browsing"
Using firefox for surfing the traffic exchanges is not only faster as you
can surf 4 exchanges at the same time, it is also safer as most viruses
are aimed at Internet Explorer.
So the first thing you need to do if you do not already have it is to
download firefox, it is free...
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox

Your next step is to make sure you have antivirus and spyware protection
even if you do here is a good spyware scanner compatible with most programs
you should use once a week (recommended to me by the Dell tech after my
recent hardrive crash) Free Download....... http://www.ewido.net

Before you start signing up with the traffic exchanges you are going to want
to decide which site you want to use for the exchanges or you will just be
building credits without your site being shown.

You have 3 choices;

You can use your website assigned to you by Plan4Power
http://www.plan4power.org/?yourid ,from that website if the prospect fills out
the form for more information it goes right to the call center and they do all
of the follow up for you.

Once you set up this tabbed browsing system, which most surfers use now
you are going to see that you really have about 3 seconds to catch someones
attention, for this reason we use either fast loading splash pages or capture
pages for the traffic exchanges.

A splash page is set up so the prospect clicks on the splash page for more
information and that leads them to your .org site, so the call center would
still do all of the follow up for you.
I have some splash pages already set up for you to use if you know nothing
about setting them up yourself, you can read about them here;
http://mypowerplan.myfreeforum.org/ftopic255.php

A capture page is designed to capture the prospects name and email address
before they get redirected to the .org site. Now you can follow up with them
yourself with a personal email or an autoresponder series.
We do have an autoresponder series on the forum you can copy and edit to
your liking;
http://mypowerplan.myfreeforum.org/forum34.php

When you reach (phase 2-zone 3) in Plan4Power, the first program is MPO
where you will have access to capture pages you can use and edit with their
own templates, until then if you want to use a capture page, one of our
moderators Burnham (builditonce) has a capture page you can make if you
choose to;
http://mypowerplan.myfreeforum.org/ftopic250.php

Okay, now you have downloaded firefox and made the decision which site you
want to use for your Traffic Exchange views.

Your next step is to join the Traffic Exchanges and set up the site you want to
have people view. You will have to read the info on each exchange you join so
you know which ones automatically assign the credits you have built up and
which ones you have to login and assign the credits yourself.

When you join the TE's you will need a username and password, I use the same
for all the TE's I sign up with so I always know what it is. The username can be
anything easy to remember, but you want the password to be long and mixed
with letters and numbers so it is hard to duplicate.

You will notice 2 separate links when you sign up, a referral link that you want to
write down in a separate page, so that when you have new Plan4Power members
that sign up you can ask them if they have done any Traffic Exchange advertising
before, if they have not you will want an email already saved with all of your
referral links that you can send them, the reason for this is most exchanges will
give you referral credits for referring new members to their traffic exchange.

If you do not have access to your sponsor, which is not unusual with Plan4Power
as we give people many options, you place the ads and we do everything else for
you or you do get an email saying you have a new member, it is up to you how
proactive you wish to be. So if you did not hear from your sponsor or have emailed
asking for referral links and have heard nothing in return, you can go to our
"Need a Sponsor section"
http://mypowerplan.myfreeforum.org/forum38.php
There is a list of traffic exchanges, just pick the ones you want to join and ask for
a sponsor. They will be required to post a referral link and answer any questions
you may have for joining that exchange.

The next link you will usually notice when you join a TE is the surfing link, this is
the link you earn credits for while you are surfing as it has your surfing ID attached
to it. Write these down on a separate sheet of paper because you will need them
for our firefox tabbed browsing coming up next......

Surfing with Firefox....

Open Firefox; Once installed, you want to create 7 "bookmark folders" in which to store
your TE groups.
I do 4 TE's in each group, (Mon TE's) (Tues TE's) (Wed TE's)(Thurs TE's) (Fri TE's)
(Sat TE's) (Sun TE's)

Let's say you were going to add these 4 exchanges to your Mon TE's..........
ts25, trafficg, webcentresurf, clickvoyager.
You have already joined each one, added the p4p site or splash page or capture page you
want to be shown on the exchange and know the how the credits are assigned for each exchange.

1) Now you have opened the firefox browser...
2) Click "File"
3) Click on New Tab
4) Type in your ts25 url into the address box and press go
5) Click on "File" and choose "New Tab" again, now type in your trafficg url and press go
6) Click on "File" and choose "New Tab" again, now type in your webcentresurf url and press go
7) Click on "File" and choose "New Tab" again, now type in your clickvoyager url and press go
Now here you go with 4 tabs opening 4 different websites at the same time.

Look in the bar and you will see the names of the 4 sites, one will be showing on the page you are
looking at, let's say it is ts25, if you need to log in do so and click on the number, color or icon that
you need to, while that is counting down click on trafficg, click on whatever it tells you to, while that is
counting down, click on webcentresurf, you will probably have to click on "start surfing" to get it started
now go to clickvoyager and click on whatever it tells you to, now start all over again with ts25, by now
you should be able to see how you can surf 4 exchanges at the same time, you will still have to look
at each page before you click because alot of them have cheat sheets you have to fill out every now
and then, but it is still so much faster than surfing one exchange at a time.

To Bookmark each one
1) Go to one of the websites tab
2) Click " Bookmarks" from menu bar
3) Click " Bookmark this page"
or just click "Bookmark all tabs"
4) Type in the Name and the folder you want the website to be stored into (Mon-TE's)

Next time you open firefox and want to surf your "Monday TE's" here is how you open all of the websites
in one shot....
1 Click "Bookmarks" from the menu bar
2) Choose the bookmark folder you want, in this case (Mon TE's)
3) Firefox will show you all of the websites in this folder
4) Click on the "open in tabs" and your websites will all be opened together
5) Log in to the ones you need to and start surfing.........................
6) Now go ahead and choose the groups you want for Mon thru Sun and set it up

This may seem like alot of work at first, but once you set it up, you can figure the daily routine that works
for you and build credits like crazy........so have fun and surf away.........................

FireFox and Traffic Exchanges

Hi Elaine,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
Wow! What a difference. I had no problem at all downloading Firefox or setting up the Traffic Exchanges.

There is one small thing I would mention. When you click on "bookmarks" in the FireFox menu bar, there is an option to bookmark all tabs (as opposed to bookmarking each page individually).

As far as your directions go, they were right on. Believe me if I can do it, anyone can!

Thank you so much for this post. If we're going to spend all this time surfing, we may as well get as many credits as possible, right? All for now.
Take care,

Gus

Hi Elaine,

Thank you so much, it was not so bad at all to install, just
like Gus said if I can do it anyone can, I agree with Gus on the
bookmark etc.... use bookmark all tab works great, this really
makes surfing fun.

Anyway if we all just get out and do a bit
of everything, when marketing Plan4Power, we as a team
will build a business together that will last for years to come.

Thank you guys so much for testing that out for me,
I will make that small change about the bookmarks.

It is so true Gus, once you start surfing with this
method you will wonder what in the world you were
thinking surfing one exchange at a time.

Thank you both
Leon

This is just a reminder of something that I was told.

Please use splash pages in your TEs and Paid to Surf sites. Most of the hits that occur on the Plan4Power website are just eating bandwidth and are not generating clicks to view your site at Plan4Power. It is true that you will get the name recognition started and have Plan4Power in everyone's face on the traffic exchanges but we want to keep the bandwidth costs down for Debra.

So, PLEASE use splash pages for your traffic exchange activity!
galasal

can i just add that splash pages are far more effective on auto-surfs as they load extremely quickly, giving people time to read your ad.

I have noticed that some exchanges with a quickish timer barely load the main plan4power ref. page.

Do a search for free splash page template codes, do another for an HTML editor.
Copy and paste your codes and play around with them and before you know it...a custom, quick loading, eye catching and original splash page.

Splash Page "How to?"

You guys bring up excellent points on splash pages, however
there is one thing I know, we need to have step by step instructions
if we are going to help folks figure this out.

So I think our next project should be,(how to build a splash page from
A to Z) We will need every single step they need to take to do this

So do we have any volunteers to take on this project??????????

FireFox Addons (Stops video sound)

Hello Everyone,

Are you as sick of the annoying ads with sound while surfing as
I am? Some are ok, ads that give you the option of listening to
them by clicking on the play button. The ones I find annoying
are the auto play ones.

There is a quick solution you can implement. No, I don’t mean
muting the speakers. LOL. While muting will cut out the sound,
it will undoubtedly mute out the sound you want to hear as well,
your favorite tunes. And muting does nothing for your bandwidth
if you are on a slower connection.

So, if you have not been using Firefox browser to surf, start
today. You then need to add these two add-ons for Firefox.

Stop AutoPlay - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1765/
AdBlock Plus - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1865/

Stop AutoPlay is automatic. Just install it to your Firefox
browser and let it go to work. It is designed to block most ads
with embedded sound. However, it won’t block all the ads with
sound.

This is where Adblock Plus comes into play. This addon is a
beauty. You can block virtually any ads including the ones with
sound. When you come across an ad with sound you will see a
small tab labeled “Ad Block” next to the sound generating ads.
It is real tiny and almost transparent so you have to look for
it. Click on that tab and AdBlock Plus will add that annoying
ads to it list of ads to block. Continue to do this every time
you come across and ad with sound and pretty soon, no more
sound.

There will be certain sites with sounds seeming to come from out
of nowhere and you do not see the tab for Ad Block to click on.
When this happens, simply right click anywhere on the page and
look for the “Adblock” drop down link. Click on that and it’ll
let block that entire frame or page. Cool huh?

I hope you find this helpful.

Keep On Swinging...
Gus

Thank you

Steven,

Thank you VERY MUCH!!! That will be very helpful, although I have not done it yet. Believe me, it will be done before I start surfing again.
Thanks again.

FireFox Addons (Stops video sound)

Thank you Steven, for that informative post.

I think it would be helpful especially when you are trying to do other things while on a skypecast or call.

I'm going to add these as soon as I can.

Thanks again and Peace,
sstack2

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
I will definitely utilize those two features.

I don't suppose you know how to stop flashing
banners, do you? They give me such a headache!
I don't know if I'm in the minority, but they have
the opposite effect than was intended -- I cover them
up with another open window and navigate away from
that page as quickly as possible! If you want to be
sure I don't look at your page, put a flashing banner on it.

Sorry, I just had to vent..........
Leon

Hi Sharon,

That is what the AdBlock Plus is for. Read the information on the site when you go there. It explains a bit about it and some of the comments are displayed below the install button.

Peace,
sstack2

Wonderful !!!

Thanks, guys
