Splash page for AutosurfersI haven't gotten around to using it yet, because i don't auto or manually surf much, but I built a page, that you are welcome to copy if you would like.
Just remember to save the images, and upload them onto your
own site. Right now these are on mine, and I don't need the extra bandwidth problems.
You might want to change the links too.

Neat page -- could you explain a little better how I could
get it on my computer to use it to advertise my page?
Thanks,
Marsha

Okay, let's take this step, by step:
These are instructions on how to set up a page at freewebs.com.
If you have hosting already, you can easily modify things to fit.
If you aren't using freewebs.com, you won't need the little tracking
link on the bottom of the page. (You'll see it when you see the
HTML code.)
Go sign up for an account with freewebs.com
http://members.freewebs.com/
Create a "new text" document on your desktop., and open it.
Go here:
http://www.freewebs.com/builditonce/index.htm
On that webpage, there are only 3 images. Simple pages load more
quickly, and you want to keep it simple and fast for autosurfers. You have to grab their attention right away. You don't have time for much in the
way of special effects.
Those images are the background and the two banners. Save them to your desktop.
Okay, back to the page. On the top line of your browser,
click 'Edit', and from the drop down menu, click "View Source".
Copy that text, and paste it into your new document on the desktop.
In that new document there are only 2 links to Plan4Power (my affiliate
link.) Change those links to yours, and click save.
Log into your freewebs back-office and click on the "Build and Edit"
button. This takes you to your "Site Manager". Other hosting will
call this your "File Manager".
On the top right you'll see a menu that has "Add a Folder". When you click it, name the new folder "images" (lowercase). Once it's created, click
on the folder next to the name. Then, back on the top right menu again,
you'll see upload file, and click that. This is where you upload the images
you put on the desktop. You have to upload them one at a time. Just
repeat "Upload File", "Browse", and "Save".
Now, if there isn't already an "index" page there, click "Add a Page"
on that top right menu. Name it "index".
Once created, click the little edit pencil to the right of it. An editing page
will pop up. Paste the text from the document you created on your
desktop into there. Go up to "File" and click save.
Bam, you just kicked it up a notch! And you've created a splash page
for autosurfing.

Hi Marsha,
If I understand what you are asking... create a new text document on your desktop.
Minimize your browser with the - sign in the upper right corner. Your desktop is what you should see there (with all of your icons/shortcuts).
Right-Click an open area of the desktop and a drop-down menu with appear.
Mouse over the New and another menu will open.
Mouse over that menu to "Text document" and Left-Click on it.
A new icon will appear with the name "New Text Document.txt" highlighted. You will want to rename it as soon as you create it. So, while it is still hightlighted, type in the name you want it to have, i.e. "Plan4Power Splash.txt". Don't forget the file extension ".txt" or you will get an error message and have to type it in again.
I hope this has helped a little.
Peace,

Another SplashPageI Pulled the Blank for this one from our MPO Build-a-Biz site Their templates, including hosting is part of our "product"from them.
Now all I have to do is is come up with an autoresponder and an appropriate "string".
I was thinking that I read somewhere here in the forum that there was an AR already set up but couldn't find the post again.

Hi Ray,
I don't remember seeing anything about an autoresponder here. Of course, I may have missed it.
Edit: I finally found some. Sorry for butting in where I didn't belong.
There are several free autoresponders available online, but you will need to set them up yourself. GetResponse.com has a pretty good one. Another one is www.freeautoresponder.com (I thnk). Most of the work is setting them up with all of the messages you want to send and when you want them sent.
GOOD LUCK!!
Peace,

Sorry
I missed this question earlier
The autoresponder series should be posted soon, I want to say by the end
of the week but I know better, so I will just say we are almost done.
