This Probably Goes To Burnham, not sureI know people usually ask these questions to Burnham
but if someone else knows I would appreciate the tip.
Every month about the first all my bookmarks in my
firefox disappears, no notice, nothing just gone
and I have to go all over the place trying to replace
the bookmarks.
I like firefox, alot of short cuts, any way to get
everything back and keep it there?
I've looked everywhere trying to fix this, it's
over my head.
This cost me a full day once a month, plus I doubt I always get all
the original bookmarks back, is there
a prevention?

Okay, here's a quick fix. I do want to add however that you must
have some kind of "cleaning" program running on your comp that
deletes your bookmarks (and probably all other offline content)
monthly. If you can track that down, you might be able to save
your bookmarks.
Okay, in Firefox, click on "Bookmarks", and choose "Manage
Bookmarks" from the dropdown menu. On the new window, I think "File"
has the dropdown menu that includes "Export Bookmarks". You can
choose to put them on your desktop.
Next month, when you lose them, they'll be on your desktop in an
HTML file which, by the way, you can then add to your bookmarks.
Unless your cleaner program gets rid of this, too! If so, then upload
the page onto free or paid hosting somwhere and remember the url.
It ain't perfect, but it's workable.

I don't have any cleaner program running that
I know of. Everything else seems to stay in tact,
explorer, lpe, yahoo, gmail, aol, nothings ever touched
but foxfire, that's what I couldn't understand.
I will go through my computer and see though,

Hi Cathy,
Here's the answer you need...
Click "Tools" then "Options" then "Privacy" then "History". There is the 30 days you were talking about. Just change it to 10,950 and you will have them a long time... 30 years!
I have a neat little organizer that I can give away to anybody who wants it. You can store all of your affiliate urls and other site info in it and I think it has a note pad and task manager and other kewl stuff.
If you want me to send it to you, I will be glad to do that. Minor problem though... it is about 3MB in size and would take quite a while for you on dial-up as an attachment to an email.
