Using Business CardsI was trying to figure a way to reach a different demographic population -- those poor souls who are trying to work their way through college by waiting on tables, standing behind a cash register or doing some similar menial task. (The area in which I live is blessed with 3 major universities: Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State.)
First I went to Build-a-Biz and built a capture page not geared to those who are looking for business opps, but for those who don't know what's available. A very simple page explaining what Plan4Power is and is not. This is the link: http://www.mywebbuilder.net/7119157/bizcardweal2.htm
Then I went to www.VistaPrint.com and took advantage of their offer of 250 free business cards (well, not totally free; had to pay shipping...a minimal amount). The URL for the capture page is printed on the card.
The PLAN....next time I have lunch at Chili's (or any local restaurant) I will leave my business card with the tip. I will give a card to cashiers wherever I shop. I will also leave a few with the stylist who does my hair and the lady who does my nails, etc....you get the idea!
Just thought I'd share this idea and see what you think.

I agree det, we do have a H' of a team and thanks.
Just wanted to remind the folks who are not in phase 2, zone 3 yet,
they would not have access to these capture pages yet....... If not
don't worry you will make it to the river soon enough, until then here
is what you can still do, basically free.
Take Sharons capture page or any capture page or splash page on the
forum and copy it"print it out". Take a blank piece of paper with your
url on it and staple it to the bottom of the page you printed out, now
you have a pocket, make as many as you can and stick your business
cards in there and tack them up where ever you are allowed to.
You will have to check as often as you can to make sure it is not empty
as soon as it is just refill, in the meantime you stiill have your url printed
on there so even if it is empty folks will still see it.

I forgot 2 more things.
1) When making business cards or posters it is always a good idea to use
an easy to remember redirect url, the reason is this;
Alot of people know their way around the internet now so if you were
to just put your referral url on there such as;
http://www.plan4power.org/?yourid most people know by now, if they
just type in what they remembered by glancing at it which would be
Plan4power, chances are they will pull up the opportunity they were
looking for only your ID was not at the end of it so you just lost a
prospect.
So the easiest way to do this and it is free is go to , I am only mentioning
this one because it is the one I know, maybe others know more...
Go to http://www.active.ws sign up for free and choose a name, I
chose-- http://wecloseyourleads.here.ws I pointed mine to one of my
capture pages but you can just point yours to your Plan4power site
that is the url you want to put on your business cards and posters and you
won't be losing any prospects.
One more thing, when you run out of your free business cards you can go
to:
http://mypowerplan.myfreeforum.org/ftopic362-15.php
successfullady has made some business cards you only need to add
your url, buy some blank business card sheets and print them out,
Thank you for posting that also Darlene.

URLs at Active.wsGood point, Elaine. I was trying to figure out how to shorten that URL!
I went to www.active.ws and registered www.nomonthlyfees.here.ws
You can be sure I'll use it on my next batch of cards.
Every day I learn that there's so much to learn! (lol)
