What do you think of this lead capture?

What do you think of the site, and/or the idea of giving this away to get prospects?

Hi,
I went to look and saw only code

Hmmmmm...

Anyone else have a minute to try it out? It is working for me, and I sent the link to someone, and they said it worked for them.

Thanks!

Hi Veronica,

Looks good to me. Also seems like a good thing to be giving away.

Hi Gus!

Thank you for reading and taking the time to check it for me. And for your feedback. I am wondering ...where is everyone! lol

Doesn't seem many members use the forum, I am here a LOT hehe.

Thanks again,

Hello Veronica

Looks good to me, keep up the good work.
Leon

Hi Veronica,

My browser only showed me the HTML code. I am using Firefox. I tried it the other day and I was able to copy it to my html editor and it only showed the code there too. I was kinda confused so I didn't say anything about it at the time. Now that somebody else has said they were unable to view it, I don't feel so stupid... Whew!

I will open IE and see if it makes any difference... be right back.

Okay, I was able to see it with Internet Explorer. It appears that you will only be able to reach those users of IE. Too bad that you didn't optimize the page for all browsers to be able to view it. That is a shame.

I found an article written by a fellow in 2003 who has a great deal of experience and he seems to believe that IE is the thing. However, he goes on to say,

Quote:
Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about code that doesn't work in Firefox or other marginal browsers, as long as it works in the major browsers. Users of these rare browsers are probably used to pages that don't work - besides, they're typically geeks just trying to be different.

UPDATE: Since late 2004, FireFox has made a serious dent in Internet Explorer's market - nearly 10% or more! So now more than ever, you should use standards based HTML (XHTML) and CSS in your web design.

I can see that you are using the Transitional DTD in your HTML document. The problem may be solved simply by using the Strict DTD rather than the Transitional DTD. As a test, you could change the first line of your document by editing out the word "Transitional" and uploading it again. I would be glad to see if it works in both browsers if you care to do that. Mozilla upgraded and they may have forced the Firefox browser to look for the Strict DTD 4.01 and that may be why we (Firefox users) only see the html code. I don't really know why it is happening at this point.

Peace,
Jaz

Hi Veronica

Looks good to me. I like short version of any advertising & I think you've got a winner there.

Thank you everyone.

Leon, thank you for pointing that out and explaining a little. I will work on getting to work for firefox.

Veronica,

I'm sorry... I forgot to offer my review of the splash page. DUH!!

I did see it and it looks great! One thing I would change though... I think in the highlighted box you say, "For a One Time $25". I would add the word "Purchase" or "E-Book Purchase".

All said, I like it!

Peace,
