Just when I thought we had this thread back on track...

That is an excellent metaphor and I've seen it in many different forms throughout the years.
Now someone else is going to have to return this thread back to "The Secret"

It is a wonderful metaphor.

There's bound to be a really great way to tie it all
back in to 'The Secret.'

Somehow the talk about the African Greys (I tried to take on a
grown pair years ago and found out how true it is about those
birds being attached to the one who raised them) and how birds
are in nature, seems to fit some things about the Law of Attraction.

Feels like it anyway. One of my friends in PA is an avid birder.
He travels all over the US and the world to see different birds.
The stories he tells me about the different birds unique habits,
keep me mesmerized for hours. To be so unlike us in physical
attributes, some of them are so human-like in so many ways.

We should maybe learn from them as they seem to have some of
our better qualities that maybe we've forgotten. Maybe the SECRET
isn't lost on them in some way.

Ok...that's my attempt at bringing the thread back. I do know one
thing, the more we focus on what we want for this group, the more
we are definitely attracting it. It's an amazing thing to see and I
appreciate you all so much for it.

I was told about the movie just last night from a fellow who is involved in Internet Marketing and whom I am trying to get to look at P4P.

I have watched the first 20 minutes of it and the testimonies are just awesome for lack of a better word!

As soon as I get a minute I will get on and watch the entire thing.

God gives us everything we need when we need it and the gift of this film will indeed change peoples lives.

Since this thread is already a “mixed-bag” and slowing down a bit,
I thought that I’d change the topic from ‘The Secret’… yet again…
to play a little game: pin the duck metaphor on a P4P member (not to be a donkey or anything).
Here goes:

Sooo…

A Duck walks into a convenience store and asks, "Got any duck food?"

The clerk replies, "No, I'm sorry, but this is a convenience store."

The next day the Duck walks into the same store and asks, "Got any duck food?"

"No, I told you yesterday - this is a convenience store."

The next day the Duck walks into the same store and asks, "Got any duck food?"

"What's the matter with you? I told you NO twice already - if you ask me one more time I'll nail your little webbed feet to the floor!"

The third day the Duck walks into the same store and asks the clerk, "Got any nails?"

"Nails? No! This is a convenience store."

"Got any duck food?"

Now, to me… this perfectly describes someone that we “all” know.
The chutzpah (pluck) and determination of the duck above is a very apt metaphor for this particular P4P member…
Ahhh… what can I say? Just had to share this… hope that you enjoyed it!

Ok Lorne, lol

I watched the secret last week and I'm
trying to practice it a little. Just like with
Plan4Power in my thoughts, if you think negative
you won't get anywhere. When you see the vision,
it's going to happen!

Think positive! See the vision before it happens!
Never give up. No promise that it will happen in
a month or two, keep moving forward and believing
it until it happens...It's Coming for all of us that believe
it and are putting in the effort of the Team Builders Group!

You can't spend $25 sit back, do nothing and expect to
get rich. You can spend $25, work it just like a job and
reap the rewards. (Even Part Time, lol)

Where in the world can you have this kind of support,
income potential, teamwork for one time $25. No where!

The secret to me is Plan4Power...One time $25 can and
will make all your dreams come true if you contribute to it.

If you don't contribute, you don't deserve to get out of your rut!

Get positive, We are Overwhelming the Net, one day at a time.

Watch the Secret, Be active, week after week after, month after
month, after year, yeah, just keep being active with the Team Builders Group...Remember,
you spent $25 for this secret to success...Do something with it
Or wish you would have later!

I'm sorry, it just bogs my mind that people spend $25
expecting success overnight and wanting others to do

Not to worry... we all assume that we're "stepping beyond the limits" at times. People that matter will always look beyond gaffes (if indeed any were made in the first place).

For what it's worth. I just thought I would share a little story with you regarding "The Secret" and how it REALLY does work..if you want it too and are open to it working in the first place.

Before I do, I just want to point out that those who do not understand "The Secret" and what it's all about will no doubt say that the following outcome is just down to a case of "mind over matter"..but I argue that if that is so, then it is solid proof in itself that "The Secret" works..after all, we are talking about matter-based entities taking command of and learning to use that which is non-matter..and doing this by mere thought alone!

Anyway, back to the my attestation that "The Secret" does indeed work..

Back in the late 70's, when I was in my early teens, I became very sick and was hospitalised with both Pneumonia and "Wet" Pleurisy. I was so sick our family doctor later told us if they hadn't gotten me to the hospital when they did, then I would have died that night. I spent the best part of 4 weeks in hospital and later when I had left I learned my lungs would be scared for life as a direct result...and a scare there is..I've seen it on x-rays a few times over the years. I wouldn't know it was there if I hadn't seen it, but there it is all the same.

There is one resulting consequence for all of this..and it's that every time (..and I mean EVERY time!) I come down with a head cold or even the common cold, it travels right down to my chest and it takes forever for me to get rid of it. This usually happens a couple of times a year..and always later in the year, as the weather tends to take a nosedive here in Ireland around those months.

Well, lo and behold, two days before I was told about "The Secret" I came down with a very bad headcold and around noon on the second day I knew it had spread to my throat already. I was dreading the next day, as I know the pattern it follows only too well and knew only too well that by the next morning it would have hit my chest with a vengeance in the form of a serious chest infection..making my breathing difficult..with an outlook or prognosis of maybe another month or two of nothing but the same to follow!

I felt like death warmed up that night, as I sat down in front of my PC and logged on, glad of having something to do that would distract me and take my mind off of how bad I was feeling right then and there. It was then, when I checked my email, that I was introduced to "The Secret" and I was intrigued by what I read. It all sounded too good to be true..and a little like a few books I had read in the past that focused on the topic of "Mind over Matter"..but having viewed the trailer, I was hooked and paid to watch the complete feature.

I sat there, working my way through the big box of paper tissues beside my PC, as I watched and listened to what the various speakers had to say and found myself wondering if it could be true? Could something so apparently simple really work? I remembered the part where they said "The Secret" was not limited to just drawing to us what we want in this life..such as the perfect job..the house of our dreams or more money..but also perfect health and happiness, too..after all, it was up to us..all we had to do was ask and it would come to us!

As I turned off my PC and blew into a tissue, I thought I might as well give it a try..after all, I had nothing to lose aside for the illness that I could shake. So I went to bed that night as sick as the proverbial dog and fell asleep muttering to myself how much I believed in "The Secret" and that it would work..

The next morning I woke and swung my legs out from under the duvet and sat there at the side of the bed. The sun shone in through our bedroom window and it looked like it had the makings of a beautiful day yet still to come.

I sat there briefly contemplating what the coming day held in store and what I had to do, when it hit me..my cold was gone! There was no runny nose..no sore throat infection..and certainly no trace of a serious chest infection..I really and honestly in perfect health compared to the few short hours before when I had climbed into bed to sleep!

I was stunned beyond words, as thoughts wizzed into my mind. All the possibilities..the ramifications of what this meant were dumbfounding!!

Later that same week, I heard about an private investment opportunity that really was too good to pass up on, but unfortunately what funds I had were tied up elsewhere..and even if I could have gotten at them, they would not have been enough to get me involved at even the basic entry level of the oppertunity in question.

I emailed the person who contacted me regarding the oppertunity and told him I would not be getting involved and wished him all the best with it. I was sorry to have missed out on something of such value, but I understood life goes on and that there are far more important things to worry about. I mean I was disappointed a little for sure, but I knew there would be other chances down the line and I immediately applied the principles of the Secret to the situation..attracting such chances into my life and forgot about it. It had worked once for me only a few days before..could it really work again, I wondered?

Two or three days later I got an email from a guy who knew the friend who had invited me to join him in the oppertunity..and as it turned out, this guy was the main person behind it all. I cannot say too much due to legal reasons, but let's just say I was goobsmacked when this man, whom I have never met in my life, turned around and offered me a "stake" in the investment oppertunity for free..worth far more than I could have very affored to invest myself! He was doing so, he told me, because he was at a stage in his life where he wanted to help others and give back a little of the good fortune that had come his way over the years!

That was then..a few months ago. Since then, I have been working on fitting "The Secret" into my life and the lives of those nearest and dearest to me in this life..and it IS working on all fronts. Not as fast as the first two times outlined above..but instead things are now unfolding how I want and at a rate I have planned, for the future. Things are happening after years of being stuck in a rut..offers of jobs are coming at me from all directions and I have had to start taking bookings rather than let folks down or turn them away! I simply no longer have enough time in the day to do the things I used to do..as it is now taken up doing the things I always wanted to do, but for some reason never could!

Last year we didn't have a holiday away from our hometown..to date I already have pencilled in dates in my personal work journal for trips to the UK, Holland, France, South Africa, Malta, Bulgaria and hopefully Canada..and that's only to do with work! The kids are screaming to visit Disneyland in Florida..so there could be another date added in there yet..

So, I KNOW it works..and I am only starting out playing with this lifetime I have been given..a little later than I could have, but then I didn't know or understand the Secret and how to use it..but I will be eternally grateful for having been introduced to it and the power it bestows upon anyone willing to use it correctly and wisely. It does work..just like P4P..as long as you work it too in your life. You need to be open and understand fully just what it is you want and how to ask for it so that it doesn't come back and hurt you or those around you later on. As the old saying goes.."Be careful what you ask for..as you might just get it!" This is very true..even more so in the case of the Secret. It holds the power to change your life..be that for goos or for bad is up to you and how you ask for what you want!

All of the above is true, I promise you. I just felt it was time to share this with you all in the hope that it will inspire you to each come to understand the power of the gift that is in your hands..in the form of "The Seecret". Take is and try to understand it..the time you spend working with it will be far more valuable to you later on than all the wealth you now own!

And..most important of all..be totally honest with yourself and where you are in life. What you want WILL come to be..but alot depends on where you are right now and what part this will play in making your dreams and goals come true!

I like what you said here too. So simple.
We don't need to worry about HOW it will happen,
just KNOW that it will. So true. We sometimes
get so consumed with the details that the flow
of things happening is slowed down.

I really liked the statement in "The Secret" about
getting in the car to drive at night. All of us who
drive do it from time to time, even though we can't
generally see very far out ahead of us.

If when we were born, we were all given "directions"
with a "guarantee" that things would work perfectly
in our lives if we followed them, that would seem like
a good thing.

That would probably be a mighty big LIFE MANUAL, so
instead, the directions are really simplified....

create what happens in your life for yourself, you write
the manual, nobody is in control of you but you.
