Hi Everybody,

I know there are people who are experiencing a few issues with their
computers and now would be a good time to suggest a little maintenance.

There is a good article at Microsoft to help you with making your computer
more efficient and to help it speed up... if it is a little sluggish.  Just visit the
page below and you can get things back on track a little.

http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/getstarted/speed.mspx

I know that Doug Tidwell can shed a little light on this as well so maybe
he will chime in at some point to help those who have different issues as
time goes by.  I know there are some things that can be done within the
registry but I don't have the instructions like Doug does.

Thanks in advance, Doug.

Peace to you and yours,

Here are some Free tools that I use and they work quite well. Bob's (our computer quy) is a genious.

Go to this link:

http://www.download.com/2000-2001_4-0.html

Which I recommend and use scroll down and you will see the top software.
I recommend these:

Ad-Aware 2008 & Spybot from that list.

Then from here:

Grab the CCleaner Excellent free tool.

The ATF Cleaner is Amazing for getting out all temp files and adding great speed. You can find that one here:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/ATF_Cleaner_d4949.html

I use these a least once a week sometimes more often if I notice a slowdown and they work great.

Hope that helps any of you that may need. I used these amoungst other programs to fix my 1st computer last week. My brother was very happy.
Bob has tought me quite a bit as he only does it as a hobby now. So if anyone need anything else just throw me an email or put it in here and I can more than likely find you a free program to fix it. Also look through that download.com they have an abundance of resources for free.

I took Norton and McAfee off of all my computers and now use SpyBot and Eset antivirus.  They run faster and cleared up the IE problems.
